What is EOCT Test Out?

Beginning in school year 2013-14, DeKalb County School District will award units of high school credit to students in the following two ways as required by State Board of Education Rule 160-5-1-.15:
A student may earn course credit by earning a final course grade of 70 or higher.

A student may earn course credit by earning a final course grade of 70 or higher.

Prior to taking the course, a student may earn course credit by achieving “Exceeds” level on the state designated End-of-Course Test. This method of earning course credit is referred to as “testing out.”
The Georgia Department of Education established specific test-out EOCT windows. DeKalb County School District's first EOCT test-out window is March 2014. The test-out option is only available through the online administration.
