Jacob Pierce was recently named as one of two Georgia delegates for the prestigious United States Senate Youth Program. Only two student leaders from each state and the District of Columbia are selected to take a weeklong all-expenses paid trip to Washington to see government in action. The delegates will hear major policy addresses by Senators, cabinet members, officials from the Departments of State and Defense and directors of other federal agencies, as well as participate in a meeting with a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Jacob will also receive a $5000 college scholarship.
