Ms. Montooth has been honored before for being an excellant teacher. On May 8, 2007, Ms. Montooth was named Walmart Teacher of the Year. She was nominated by several DHHS students and chosen as the TOTY from hundreds of candidates. As a result of her award, she was presented with flowers, a beautiful cake, a gift card from one of the Wal-Mart stores, and $1000.00 was donated to DHHS.
